Abstract

Memories of the first head of the Department of Branch Economics of LSU, outstanding soviet economist Ya.S. Rosenfeld, have written straight after the end of the Great Patriotic War and recently found in the University Museum. They content unique and very interesting materials on working and not only working days of the Economic Faculty during the years of war, including University evacuation to the city of Saratov. It is shown that in spite of extremely hard life conditions, students and professors successfully made their studies and researches; moreover, they gave their energy to propaganda activity.
