Formation of the Modern Model of the Higher Economic Education in the Context of Foreign Universities Experience
Abstract
Tendencies and new accents of the present stage of the modernisation of the system of Higher Education in the framework of Bologna process are outlined in the paper. Transition to three levels (Bachelor-Master-PhD) system of economic and management education in several leading European universities such as London School of Economics, Cologne University, Erasmus University Rotterdam, and Toulouse University is described. Conclusions and recommendations important for modernisation process of Higher economic and management education in Russia are derived. They include among others variety and flexibility of Master’s programs and extension of micro- and macroeconomic courses by applied disciplines such as industrial economics, corporate finance and others, differentiation into one and two-years Master’s programs students with different background.
