Чэнь Хуаньчжан и его роль в изучении истории китайской экономической мысли на Западе в начале XX века

Аннотация

В статье исследуется опыт ознакомления западной научной аудитории с традиционными китайскими экономическими идеями на примере книги Чэнь Хуаньчжана «Экономические принципы Конфуция и его школы» (1911 г.). Он стал первым китайцем,ставшим интеллектуальным посредником в распространении на Западе знаний о китайской экономической мысли на фоне преобладания в то время усилий по освоению в Китае достижений зарубежной экономической науки. Выступавший с позиций конфуцианства автор уникальным образом сочетал классическое китайское и американское экономическое образование, что позволило ему соединить глубокое знание китайской традиции с владением основами западной методологии. С привлечением малоизвестных первоисточников в статье проанализированы особенности структуры и экономической терминологии работы Чэнь Хуаньчжана, приоритетное внимание уделено его истолкованию соотношения производства и потребления с опорой на древнекитайскую классику. Продемонстрировано, что ученый стремился выработать соответствующую запросам экономического развития и задаче унаследования тради-ционных моральных норм обновленную трактовку потребления, нацеленную на регулирование человеческих желаний. Оценка влияния книги на западные научные круги опирается на исследование рецензий, опубликованных в начале 1910-х гг. (автором одной из них был Дж. М. Кейнс). В первой половине ХХ в. труд Чэнь Хуаньчжана служил для западных ученых важным источником информации о китайской экономической мысли. В статье выявлены причины заметного роста интереса к работе Чэнь Хуаньчжана в КНР после длительного забвения. В начале XXI в. опыт интерпретации традиционных экономических идей с помощью западных методов оказался востребованным при создании «общественных наук с китайской спецификой» и продвижении их достижений во внешний мир.
