About the Journal

Founded in 1985, the St Petersburg University Journal of Economic Studies is a peer-reviewed journal of science and theory drawing together the results of the researchers all around the world. The main focus of the journal is papers based on theoretical and empirical research, analytical reviews, materials of scientific discussions.

The mission, main goals and objectives of the journal is to publish theoretical and applied articles that can have a significant and long-term impact on research of economic problems primarily of emerging markets in the context of global political, economic and social trends.

The main research profile of SUJES is the identification of features and factors of sustainable economic development of emerging markets in the context of the processes of globalization and integration in the world economy.

Established in 1985 by the St Petersburg State University, the SUJES is among the oldest and most respected scholarly journals in economics in Russia. Since 1946 to 1985, economic topics were presented in a separate section in the interdisciplinary journal "Vestnik (Bulletin) of the Leningrad University."

The journal is bilingual, accepts materials for publication in Russian or English for free.
