Features of Sharia Supervision in Islamic Financial Institutions in Muslim and Non-Muslim Countries
Abstract
Sharia board is one of key control bodies in Islamic fi nancial institutions. In spite of commonly recognized standards which regulate functioning of Sharia supervisory authorities, Sharia boards in different countries have their own features. The article examines the experience of Sharia supervisory boards’ regulation in a number of countries. Refs 29.
