Financial Reform in Russia at the Beginning of XIXth Century
Abstract
Article is dedicated to the study of financial policy of Russia at the beginning of XIX century. On the basis of wide range of sources, the financial plan of M.M. Speranskiy directed toward stabilization of financial system of Russia is examined. In the paper, the role of M.A. Balugyanskiy in the development of Speranskiy’s plan is considered in a new way. Some causes of failure of realization of 1810 financial reforms are examined.
