Gumilev’s Vision of Eurasian Future

Abstract

The article is ritten to the 100thAnniversary of L. N. Gumilev.
Analyzing V. V. Putin’s proposal on creating the Eurasian Union, the author bases himself upon the ideas of the great Russian scientist-historian Lev Gumilev. In his famous researches on Russian-Eurasian history, L. Gumilev gave evidence how the Russian people in cooperation with neighboring peoples of Eurasia in the hardest situationsset up step by step a united state which became a Great Powerin the XX century. This historic example isquitein structive nowa days.
