Economic Theories of Industrial Allocation: from the Standort to Clusters
Abstract
The article analyzes the key stages of development of economic theory of industrial allocation. As a result, the author presents the evolution of the theory as a chain «standort—industrial districts —clusters». This chain allows us to determine the future directions of research for the modern allocation theory using tools of institutional analysis.
