Modernization of the National Economy: Historical Experience of France and Japan
Abstract
The article is devoted to the historical and theoretical analysis of economy modernization. In the article, background and value of neokolbertism on the example of the first large European project of economy modernization in France as one of the major methods of modernization are analyzed. Also, key principles of the catching up modernization, most brightly shown in Japan in XIX–XX centuries, are considered. The conclusions received in the research are applied to disclosing features and complexities of modernization of the Russian economy.
