Some Peculiarities of Reforms in Russian Agriculture at the Beginning of the XX Century
Abstract
The article deals with the major problems of Russian agriculture at the beginning of the XX century, and the Government activities aimed at solving these problems. Analysis of official records and discussions in which many prominent economists and agrarians of this period were participated allows to reveal some features of elaborating agrarian reforms by S. Yu. Witte and P. A. Stolypin. The obtained results allow to make a comparison with current situation in the Russian agricultural sector.
