Protectionism and Industrial Development of Russia in the XIX Century
Abstract
The author analyzes the problem of protectionist policy as an instrument of industrial development of Russia in the XIX century. The article presents both German and Russian views on the problem of customs duties reforming and also opinions of well-known scientists such as Mendeleev and Yanjul. Mendeleev’s role as a theorist and a creator of the protectionism system of the end of XIX century is specially considered.
Some results of the protectionism policy and conclusions are based on statistic data of the XIX century.
