The Economic Functions of the State and their Realization in Transitional Economy of Russia
Abstract
The paper states that in transitional economy the role of the state became complicated while its economic functions are characterized by new priorities and additional spheres of realization. The extent and forms of influence of the state on the economy should be determined by the need of stimulating the country's economic development and completing the process of economic transformation. In this context, the key issue is the search of an optimal size of the state, which implies overcoming both market and bureaucratic deformations.
