Contradictions of Globalization in Modern World
Abstract
The article is devoted to the phenomenon of globalization. The paper reveals factors, which, on the one hand, facilitate globalization and, on the other hand, restrain it. Both groups of factors are being assessed from the point of view of their socio-economic and political essence and possible consequences. The paper argues that the process of globalization has an objective nature and is conditioned by deepening of social division of labor, concentration and centralization of production, etc. It is also assumed that the consequences of globalization are rather contradictory rendering multiple effects over different countries and peoples, while the process of globalization itself reveals certain limits in its development.
