Problems of Money Circulation in War Economy in V. M. Stein's Early Works
Abstract
V. M. Stein is one of the most interesting and versatile Russian economists of the XXth century. Being P. B. Struve's and M. V. Bernatsky's pupil, he begins his creative activity with working as a secretary of Russian business circles's journal "Industry and trade". During the First World War he published here a lot of articles devoted to problems of organization and reorganization of currency system in the war time. These articles show not only the author's deep professionalism. They convey originality and sharpness of the discussions of that time, intensive search of way out of finance and money crises by Russian economists.
