The Government Policy of Support of Industrial Products Export in the Republic of Korea
Abstract
The policy for export support played an important role in the economic development of the Republic of Korea. However, during the last 40 years the support for export activities has been considerably changed. The direct government support of 1960-1970’s was replaced with the indirect one beginning from 1980’s. The State has also limited direct financing for exports and placed a greater emphasis on the support for R&D and attraction of FDI. Nowadays, development of modern providing competitive advantages for Korean producers is a priority.
