Institutional Impact on the Corporate Governance (in Japan)
Abstract
The article is devoted to the analysis of role of the institutional factors in the process of the corporate governance. In the focus of the research are theoretical postulates of the new institutional economic theory in the field of corporate governance and practical results of using this theory toward Japanese model of management. The author analyzes the causes and conditions that made traditional Japanese methods of corporate governance so effective. The paper describes relation between the success of installing these models in the postwar Japanese economy and very specific Japanese institutional conditions. The article emphasizes, that the copying such experience in other countries is not prospective without taking into account all respective institutional factors.
