Abstract
The author examines the formal logic and dialectical logic methods in the economic theory, the reasons of their use and their limited nature. He proves that the limited nature of both methods will lead to the development of a more advanced one in the future. D. Miropolsky makes a conclusion that the reinforcement of the formal logic in the economic theory is a transient phenomenon. The article also shows the role that Russia plays in the development of the new economic theory methodology.
