The Letters of M. V. Ptukha to V. I. Bortkewicz (1921–1928)
Abstract
The letters of famous Russian statistician, an alumnus of Petersburg University M. V. Ptukha (1883–1961) to L. I. Bortkewicz (1868–1931) are published for the first time. The letters have been stored in the library of Uppsala University and therefore have not been broadly known. The letters shed some light on Ptukha as an economist and allow us to understand academic interrelation between the two scientists. They also provide a picture of economic science at Ukraine in 1920s.
