Exchange and Distribution in the System of Social Interaction of Primitive and Archaic Societies
Abstract
In the article, economic bases of the mechanism of social communications of pre-capitalistic societies are considered. Analyzing specificity of the primitive relations of production, the author reconsiders a number of traditional for the formal economic theory positions about the character of interaction between the man and the nature. The special attention is given to studying of the major organizational principles of subsistence of primitive social structures. The following thought is proved: the occurrence and existence of various forms of exchange and distribution have been caused not by the division of labor and requirement for accumulation, but by the instability of economic situation of various economic groups, necessity to strengthen social links, with aspiration to raise a status position and to expand influence sphere.
