Business Development on the Peripheral Island Areas of the Western Europe (case of Aland and Faroe Islands)
Abstract
The article is devoted to details of making business on Åland and Faroe Islands. The author shows that the historical path of regional economic development, as well as the scale and the specialization of business activities have a signifi cant impact on the companies’ operation. The analysis of external factors of the areas’ development is given by taking into account the availability of external assistance, particularly from the EU.
