Post-industrial Capitalism: Challenges of Modernization and Lessons for Russia
Abstract
Usually, the periodization is made in the frames of formation, technology, and institutions approach. When speaking about the Russian economy, it is used to distinguish mobilization, industrial, innovation, and liberal monetary concepts of modernization. A synthesis of the above approaches allows revealing the key features of post-industrial economy which signifi cantly changes the nature of capitalism.
The system crisis of the last years has shown that the industrial capitalism investigated by A. Smith, K. Marx, J. M. Keynes and others outstanding economists is sputtered out. Transition to the different economic system is needed. Determining the place of the new system in the society development history, revealing and analyzing specifi city of this system has got a defi nitive value for developing a complex program of the Russian economy modernization and forming a global mechanism of social-economic and technology-ecological regulation.
