Mathematical Basis for Master’s Programs in the Economic Education
Abstract
The article is devoted to specificity of mathematical background of students in transition to the bachelor-master system. The author considers objectives of mathematical training, general tendencies developing in economic-mathematical education, and specific factors, caused by the division of Higher Education system into two levels. In the analysis of general tendencies, special attention is given to changes in the application field and tools of mathematical methods. In the specific analysis, unification and standardization of economic training are to be essential. The article is written on the materials of the Conference held at the Economic Faculty of Saint Petersburg State University, however, it is of importance for all economic faculties implementing bachelor-master system.
