Historical Aspects of Modeling Economic Growth

Abstract

The article is devoted to the analysis of history of the theory of modeling economic growth, since 30s years of the last century till the present. The basic stages of economic growth models improvement are considered, and the influence of economic conditions on their target setting and development is determined. Specific features of the experimental analysis of economic growth on the base of the convergence theory are shown; specificity of application of the co integration method for comparison of economic growth in different countries and regions is distinguished.
