Abstract

The article is describing the process of development of international cooperation between the Economic Faculties of SPSU and Technical University Ilmenau (Germany). The process of establishment of the real mechanism of cooperation covers rather long period of time and could be divided into the following steps: acknowledgement of each other as a partner, adaptation to cross-cultural differences, introduction of necessary changes in the international relations and reflection in further developments. Permanent and close cooperation between the Universities generates serious synergy effect and provides to the involved parties a new level of competitive advantage in international education.
