Social Responsibility of Economic Agents in the Post-crisis Economy
Abstract
The article considers some peculiarities of the economic model formed in developed countries in the beginning of the 21st century, one of which is the low level of social responsibility of economic agents (State, business, households). The author reveals the meaning of social responsibility and comes to a conclusion that the above mentioned low level of social responsibility was one of the reasons of 2008–2009 world economic crisis.
The author gives ground to the necessity of transition to the different, post-crisis economic model, which presupposes mutual social responsibility of all participants involved in the economic activity and aims at sustainable development.
